Daniel Irving — Founder
I'm a consultant, writer, and strategist who has spent 30 years working alongside mission-driven organizations — most of them in the nonprofit and education sectors.
I spent 22 years at JCC Greater Rochester, including 12 as director of Camp Sisol. That experience — building programs, leading teams, navigating institutional change, and doing it all inside a values-driven organization — is the foundation of everything I do now.
I specialize in helping leaders find language for what they believe, structures for how they operate, and momentum when they're stuck. My work spans operational strategy, communications architecture, research synthesis, facilitation, and creative writing.
Whether you need a strategic framework your team can actually use, a narrative that captures your organization's soul, or a thought partner who can help you think out loud — I bring rigor, speed, and deep care to every engagement.
Irving Insights Consulting is a sole proprietorship based in Rochester, NY. I work primarily with nonprofits, community-facing organizations, and purpose-driven leaders.
"I help organizations that care deeply about their mission do the hard work of living it — not just stating it."
— Daniel Irving, Founder
